Invitational Tournament
The Towanda Country Club Invitational was inaugurated in 1976 by Club member Jerry Smith. The initial field was small, just 39 teams and there were doubts whether the tournament would survive. The second year's field grew to 60 teams and since 1978 the tournament has filled its field completely. Known for its history and statistical record keeping the tournament has become the jewel tournament in the area. Presently 104 teams contend for the prestigious title of “Towanda Country Invitational Champion”
